Terms of Service & Usage Quotas
ImageEngine is built as a high-performance edge acceleration layer and hosting crash shield. Review our clear quota model, caching guarantees, and acceptable use requirements below.
Architectural Purpose: Edge Delivery & Bandwidth Shield
ImageEngine is NOT a database or a permanent file storage replacement. Your original media assets remain safely hosted on your origin servers. ImageEngine dynamically fetches, compresses into modern WebP/AVIF formats, and broadcasts them across 330+ global edge cities.
By offloading image encoding and heavy file delivery to our edge infrastructure, your web servers avoid memory exhaustion, CPU spikes, and bandwidth overage bills during high-traffic events.
Quota Architecture & Delivery Limits
Once an image is processed, it is locked at the edge with immutable cache headers for up to 1 year. Millions of subsequent visitors receive sub-15ms edge delivery with zero compute load on our servers or yours.
- ✓ No monthly egress caps or bandwidth fees
- ✓ Served from the closest of 330+ PoPs worldwide
- ✓ Automatic HTTP/3 and TLS 1.3 acceleration
A transformation occurs only when a newly added image or dimension is requested for the very first time.
Rate Limiting & 429 Response Handling
If a tenant exceeds their daily transformation limit (1,000 new images), the engine responds with:
HTTP/2 429 Too Many Requests
Retry-After: 86400
Content-Type: application/json
{"error": "Daily transformation quota exceeded (1000/day). Request higher limits at https://grisma.info.np/contact", "status": 429}
Acceptable Use Policy (AUP)
Domain Ownership & Verification
All client domains must undergo verified onboarding. Tenants may only route assets belonging to their registered domain or approved subdomains. Routing unauthorized 3rd-party domains will result in instant origin revocation.
Prohibited Content
Tenants may not process imagery containing malware, phishing assets, CSAM, unauthorized copyrighted materials, or content that violates international laws. We reserve the right to immediately terminate access for abusive activities.
Automated Scraping & Stress Attacks
Intentionally sending randomized pseudo-parameters (e.g. ?w=1, ?w=2, ?w=3) to artificially bust cache and exhaust compute will trigger automatic IP blacklisting at our edge firewalls.
SLA & Service Availability
Our edge CDN network leverages Tier-1 infrastructure across Cloudflare Global Edge with a target 99.9% uptime SLA. In the rare event of localized edge maintenance or upstream origin timeouts, our architecture is built with end-to-end multi-region redundancy.
Need Custom Transformation Limits?
High-traffic publishers, newsrooms, and e-commerce platforms requiring 50,000+ daily transformations or custom CNAME white-labeling can request an enterprise quota upgrade.
